When I fold a function in a source code file I'm editing, then switch to a different open file via the tab bar, when I go back to the original file, everything becomes unfolded again. I have looked for a setting so that the program will remember which functions are folded when switching between open files, but I can't find it.
Any insight into this issue is appreciated. Thanks.
unfortunately, Notepad++ doesn't remember the state of folding. I'll implemet it if it's not too complicated, when I have time.
in notepad++ version 4.9, this problem seems to have re-appeared. i was using version 4.0.1 up until recently where switching between tabs did not lead to an unfolding of all blocks in the previously accessed tabs. but version 4.9 (the only one i tried since 4.0.1) unfolds it all. is this a new feature or an old bug reintroduced ?
thanks for a great editor,
I too am seeing this with the latest release, unfortunately.
My vote for retaining the folding across tab switches is 'cast'.
Thanks, Don (& Devs)!
