I'm loving notepad++ its everything I wanted a text editor to be.

But one thing that I NEED with my text editor is a working search function.

    Heres the problem.

When I load any file, and I pres CTRL+F it gives me an error saying it can't find the file specified.

I don't know what the problem could be. But I could sure use some help.

I downloaded the .exe installer and installed it normally and I am using bblean_116 for a shell.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I already reported this earlier, it seems to be a problem with the bblean skinning engine - add notepad++ to the skinning exclude list and you'll be fine.
