UNIX has many file manipulation commands (SED, GREP, CUT, etc.). I know that NotePad++ can simulate at least one of them (e.g., doing a grep -V can be simulated by finding and marking all lines that match/don't match then "delete marked lines").
Has anyone created a cheat sheet for how NotePad++ can replicate these activities? If you send me bits of things I'll be happy to compile it and post it to the group.
Why not get the GNU win32 ports for these utilities and drive them from N++ using Pork2Sausage or Select'N Launch ? Or some NppExec script? This way there is nothing to emulate.
