User defined extensions aren't sticking

In Settings -> Style Configurator, for autoIt the default extension is .au3, and I've added .ahk as a user extension. However, it doesn't actually use the syntax highlighting for autoIt when I open a .ahk file, it uses the default or something, and I have to go select autoIt every time I open a file. If I open a session it remembers the highlighting from before, but not with individual files. If I rename the same file to .au3 then it works correctly.

Could it be that you also have AHK as an UDL installed, and that's what is being used?
Also, can you confirm that your langs.xml lists "ahk" - no period - as associated to AutiIt?

Can't find the text "ahk" anywhere in langs.model.xml, but I did apparently have ahk set up on a user-defined language, and removing that fixed it. Thanks so much.
