I opened a bug, two years ago.
I opened another bug (crash), a year ago with a code solution.
They are both still opened.
Obviously there are to few people fixing bugs.
I just opened another serious crash bug.
I fixed it, but I have no way to share the solution with everybody.
Does anybody knows how I can join the bug fixers team?

I totally understand where you are coming from, I was just made a part of the dev team this past week so your experience is still fresh in my memory.
I suggest submitting patches is one thing that will help. By doing that, instead of pasting the code and saying where to put it, you allow Don to test your solution in the easiest way possible ( apply patch, compile ). I used to do that and it never got used unless I bothered someone.
