When I use Notepad ++ to edit matlab files, it did not pick up %% as the block/cell marker (it marks the %%beginning and the end%% of a block of code so that each block could be run independently in mablab). Notepad++ recognized it as comment.
If this could be corrected in the future versions it would be great.
This looks like an issue wih the Matlab lexer; did you try downloading SciTE so as to check the problem there is the same?
