Trying to hand-code simple xml, and every now and then I miss an end tag. Can I use Notepad++ and/or one of the extensions to find lines that start with <p> but don't end with </p>? Hope so! and look forward to hints and tips.
Find </p>$ as regular expression bookmarking all lines from the Mark tab.
Now invert bookmarks.
This crude method won'will also bookmark split lines which do not need a <p> .
I usually use Notepad# plugin function "Close last open tag" (default to Ctrl+.) and check if it tries to close a tag that should have been closed. Then with cursor on the generated close tag, the "Highlight Matching Tags" (if enabled in Settings->Preferences->Misc.) will highlight the tag that was not closed. I undo, to remove the incorrectly added tag, and add a tag where it should be.
I'll take a look at both these; thanks.
