Is there an option somewhere to get the Find feature to just remember what I searched for last time, instead of defaulting to whatever word the cursor is on?

Edit: While I'm at it, where's the option to change the color of the icons on inactive tabs, unsaved vs. saved..?

Do it like this, CTRL+F then Arrow down.
Even better, use F3 to repeat last search (Shift+F3 to search backwards), and Ctrl+F3 to start new search with currently selected keyword (or simply keyword that cursor resides in). Ctrl+Shift+F3 will start new search in backward direction.

    Not supported.

There is no option to change these icons. However ResourceHacker is good at doing this, in coonjunction with any decent icon editor.
