I like npp very much, but would prefer a more conservative syntax coloring, e.g. in the style of eclipse. Has someone already created alternative font/colour schemes and is willing to share them?
And what do you think, Don HO, of putting such an alternative scheme (the stylers.xml) into the sourceforge repository?
I'll second that request. I much prefer a dark background and would be grateful, if somebody would share their color schemes!
On a related note, does Notepad++ have the same configuration files as SciTE, as they're based on the same engine? I got annoyed/bored one day and went through all of SciTE's config files to flip the background. I'd rather not do that again if I didn't have to...

No, SciTE uses the Proporties files. Whereas Notepad++ it uses xml files.
I think it's more demanded the macros and user defined commands ("shortcuts.xml"). Why not for the "stylers.xml"? So if you want to share your *.xml. Please send them to me. I'll put them on the Notepad++ site, Download section.
