Is it possible for notepad++ to support "glue tabs" just like modern web browser(Firefox, chrome...) able to do?
When users glue the tab, the tab cannot be moved. Next time when user re-open notepad++, glue tabs still show up as glue tabs no matter how the notepad++ is close last time (even if it is closed due to application crash)
Visual Studio 2010 allows tabs to be 'pinned'.
I think the Session Manager plugin allows you to save a session with just the files you wish. Then loading the session later would have the same effect as pinned tabs, wouldn't it?
Ok, this workaround doesn't address the issues of som tabs being always visible when pinned, no matter how many files get opened.
Another benefit of pinned tab is that it won't be accidentally closed by user. Session manager is a good plugin but the purpose is yet a little bit different.
