I had a fatal bug yesterday. I tried to open a message history file from skype (msgxxx.dbb) this failed. Maybe because skype used it. But it not only failed to open with an error message. Notepadpp crashed. And it couldn´t fix itselv, every start the same crash. The only thing I could do is deleting the line with this file from session.xml.
If you can´t reproduce I can give you more information and a MSVS crash dump
