For me, this started with 4.2. It is not fixed in 4.3.
When a block of text is selected (using Shift-Alt select), then Ctrl-C is pressed, it each character in the selected text is replaced with the "ETX" character.
I'm guessing this has something to do with the column editor feature added in 4.2, but since there seems to be no documentation on this editor, I cannot be sure.
So tell me, what am I doing wrong or missing? I know this cannot be right.

Try pressing the LEFT CTRL button.
I experience this, too, if I use the RIGHT CTRL button.
I get it too, with the right control key. Is this a bug or a feature?
