I see in the Settings/Preferences\Cloud that we now have the ability to apparently link to one of our Cloud accounts.

    Three issues

    1. Searched all over and cannot seem to locate any information on how this is supposed to work.
    2. The only two options I get are "No Cloud" or "Google Drive". I also have a Dropbox and OneDrive account, but those are greyed out on my menu.
    3. Finally, when I select "Google Drive" it tells me "Please restart Notepad++ to take effect". So I do that (restart Notepad++), and the system has switched back to "No Cloud"

Help or referral to documentation to tell me how to program or what the heck I am doing wrong.

Long time user, first help request ever. I look forward to hearing something soon.

I have the same issue: after restarting it switches back to "no cloud".

Although I have OneDrive and Dropbox installed, only OneDrive is enabled.

I believe this feature would change the backup path (under preferences/backup), but I cannot change it myself.

There have been multiple reports of the newest Notepad++ not correctly determining which cloud services are installed. Hopefully this will get fixed in the next release or you can try an older version.

Also, it may be getting switched back to "no cloud" do to user rights, i.e. needing to run it as administrator or something

I ran as administrator and that's not the solution.

Do you have any idea which version is supposed to work? I have both a pc and a laptop with Windows 8.1 64 bit and NP++ 6.7.7. Both show this:

      • Dropbox disabled: correct
      • Onedrive enabled: correct
      • Google Drive disabled: not correct

I already tried 6.7 and 6.7.5, with no luck.
