I am using the "Search in files..." to search log files for error messages. All I care about are the file names, path, and the occurrences in each file. Is there a way to copy/paste the results without copying each line item?

Couldn't you use grep for that (not within NP++ of course)?

Hi. I can't grep on a Windows machine?! or yes?

Why not? There is a native port for Windows: UnxUtils (if you don't like cygwin).

    Hi Kevin,

sure you can grep on Windows. For example after installing git for windows, I got a nice bash shell that, among other things, supports grep. So, I just right click on a directory, select "Git Bash" from popup menu, and happily use bash shell.

So, just pick some native port, or google for a better search tool (I am sure there are some that support your needs).
