Dear Open Source developer I am doing a research project on "Fun and Software Development" in which I kindly invite you to participate. You will find the online survey under http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/. The questionnaire consists of 53 questions and you will need about 15 minutes to complete it. With the FASD project (Fun and Software Development) we want to define the motivational significance of fun when software developers decide to engage in Open Source projects. What is special about our research project is that a similar survey is planned with software developers in commercial firms. This procedure allows the immediate comparison between the involved individuals and the conditions of production of these two development models. Thus we hope to obtain substantial new insights to the phenomenon of Open Source Development. With many thanks for your participation, Benno Luthiger PS: The results of the survey will be published under http://www.isu.unizh.ch/fuehrung/blprojects/FASD/. We have set up the mailing list fa...@we... for this study. Please see http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/mailinglist_en.html for registration to this mailing list. _______________________________________________________________________ Benno Luthiger Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich 8092 Zurich Mail: benno.luthiger(at)id.ethz.ch _______________________________________________________________________ |

Hello everybody! The purpose of this mail is to tell you how the directory structure must = be to start with the real team development stage of Nostradamus.=20 We'll have a System Agents folder NSysAG wich will contain all of the Sys= tem Agents. Every Nostradamus agent will be named NAgentAG for example, NScrAG will handle screen management. NMemAG will deal with = memory, etc. I think that developing this way will be easier: Every body will be asign= ed a particular Agent (composed of .h and .cpp) in the form of a C++ clas= s derived from CSysAG. NAIL will be used for the coding. In fact, EIAC is a part of NAIL, the ot= her part is an object oriented language. Why? It's simple, portability, e= asy programming, use of existing tools (like nasm), or even creation of p= roprietary tools (like ENIAC), and the most decisive is the Von Newman d= esign of modern computers. The help of the high level language is justified because we will run AI a= lgorithms at both compile time and run time. (That was the NAIL idea anyw= ay!). The agents must be AOP, that's why all agents will descend from CSysAG. T= hey will have sensors, brain, properties, etc. If you have any ideas or suggestions to the directory structure, the time= to tell is now. Later will be too late!. regards -victorm_cr <vic...@me...> --=20 _______________________________________________ http://mail.mexico.com =A1Disponible Ya!
