Hi,

When I configure an exercice where the question is a sound and the answer is a sound, the note detection is automatically turned off during the exercice.

In order to use this exercice, I have to turn on the note detection at each question, which then automatically turns off at the next question.

Is that normal ?

Best regards
Xavier

    Hi Xavier,

I just tested that - this behavior may be very annoying.
It should respect user choice of disabling pitch detection, and when detection is enabled it should allow playing the answer without any additional action - just after questioned sound fades out.
It has worked this way somewhen before...

I will try to fix it then I will write here.
    Thanks for reporting this bug.

    Hi there,

As a temporary solution You may set midi output and ensure that "correct answer" option of exams/exercises is not checked.

I'm working on proper solution, so it would be great if You could test it when it will be fixed.
What OS are You using, I will prepare build for testing then.

I found a reason of that issue ( I hope without any regressions and side effects) so it will be great if You will test it too.
    I will prepare build tomorrow.

      Hi SeeLook,

I tried both of your solutions:
1/ the turnaround (midi output and no "correct answer") -> it works
2/ new version with normal output and "correct answer" enabled -> it works well !!

      Thank you !
Hope it helps (it helps me :-) )

Tell me if you need mor testings.

      Xavier

Thank You a lot for calling this bug and patiently testing a solution.
Nootka really depends on users feedback.

And of course, there is more for testing, but for two weeks (more-less).
I'm going to release second alpha version (with rhythms support and many other changes) so it would be very helpful when You will express a few thoughts about it.

So be in touch or send me a email - I will inform You when it will be ready for testing.

    P.S.
So I'm closing this ticked and I will "ofically" release this fix in ocasion of next stable version - when more fixes will be gathered.
