These last weeks, I modified the sources to make them more "traditional" by creating a cmakelists file. Consequence : the project is now easy to compile. Moreover, I added an error log to recover error messages after sudden application ending. New sounds for the different platforms were also added.
This week, La Satyre, the graphic artist of the project created lots of new images for NoodleJump : logo, icon, buttons, hero animation, platforms, items, etc...
All this work makes the project more beautiful, and gives him a visual identity.
I added the item system. The first item is a speeder, which increases character's speed for a defined period of time.
Many other items will be added in the future, and this speedy item is just a beginning.
I added a probability system to make the game choose a random platform type when a platform is added.
The breakable platforms have also been added, and I fixed a clipping problem.
These last days, I worked on the main menu and on a highscore system.
The moving platforms have been added, and the main level generation bug has been fixed.
The tutorial has also been updated.
Today, I created a settings menu for the game. NoodleJump's basic settings can now be modified by a beginner with a graphical menu directly in the game.
The customizing tool is still working only with the XML files.
The project was created thursday. Actually, it features the motion of the hero on the map by bouncing on the platforms, and the theme customization.
