[Nomen-dev] Call For Multithreaded Problems

What I need are some good, old-fasioned CS style, multithreaded problems.  
Suggestions should be:
1) Something that mimics real life problems
2) Something that can be coded in a reasonable amount of code (thousands 
of lines).
3) Something reasonably computational.  Doing things like hitting 
databases etc. are out.

Suggestions welcome.
