It came out and I thoughtlessly downloaded and installed it. Now I want to cry because I can't use nomadsync anymore, which is the only good syncing/transfer program out there. When can we expect an update? I dont want to use realplayer anymore, I miss nomadsyn :'(

Thanks for the information. I was thinking about installing the new firmware as well, but now I know that I better wait until a new version of NomadSync comes out that is compatible with the new firmware.

I'm looking into this. Seems like any firmware updates with PlaysForSure/MTP technology are incompatable with the current software drivers. libnjb (the Linux driver) does not work with MTP either. I sent Creative an email about this, but it doesn't look so good :(

Newer Firmware was just released today that fixes the broken EQ - I believe simply for those of us who do not use PlaysForSure. But it has the same stipulations as the PlaysForSure firmware. It will erase all data, and cannot be reverted back to older firmware.
It fixes the EQ and that's it - well, that's all Creative states about it, anyway.
Has anyone tried this one out? I love NomadSync... and if the fixed EQ and maybe a few other minor upgrades make it incompatible... I'd just rather stick with what I have so I can use NomadSync.
Thanks to anyone who can help out. I hope there is an upgrade for those who are getting newer firmware and possibly newer Creative players. NomadSync is one of the very few things that make these players worth owning! I definitely would not be using my player like I do now without it!

The Creative Nomad SDK does not support MTP. Nor will it be updated for MTP support.
It would be really cool to update my firmware, but I really enjoy Nomadsync and I think I'd have a hard time enjoying my player without it. I wish I had a second one to play around with! Haha.
