hello again, I had some problems replying to the list after I posted my last email. Anyway dmitry suggested that I linked /dev/parport0 to /dev/parport. I tried it but it doesn't work. The issue is that I believe I can open the paralell port (either by changing ecp_linux.cpp or by linking to /dev/parport) but there's an error that comes up afer the port was successfully opened: >i Initializing player... open parallel port: ok claim access <See, I can open the paralell port> #100 ERROR strerror says: "Invalid argument" close parport <but then I get the error> So I guess That the problem occurs because the program is trying to do something (what?) that it cannot do (why?). Any ideas to share on this? Thanks Rui Alves | php-db.com |
