Hi all! (eventually, someone will read this). I will be continuing development for Nomad manager. My priorities will be Linux (I use it at home) and Windows 2000 (I have it at work). ( I expect code to be portable enough, so that adding another O/S support will be just matter of writing appropriate C++ class to drive ECP port). Not to worry, I will bring this project to completion, because I have my Nomad player, and I will not be buying other player anytime soon. I need sotware for it, and we all know that Creative has not updated it's Nomad support to any recent/decent O/S, so I have no choice but to write the manager myself ;). Currently I have developed program that runs in for Linux that has interactive mode and can do the basic operations with Nomad player. Great thanks to Takayuki ITO for the protocol description and the original code. Once I have the code more or less pretty (and user friendly) I will commit it to CVS and release a "preview". I expect to have it done this week already. More details later!
