#3 sort command returned 512

noffle --subscribe-full de.newusers.infos
noffle --fetch
noffle --offline
works great when downloading from news.cis.dfn.de

Accessing list of newsgroups from localhost yields
"sort command returned 512" .
Neither pine nor netscape seems to be able to
retrieve a list of newsgroups from localhost via nntp.

telnet localhost nntp
> list newsgroups
works great, though

sort is:
-rwxr-xr-x root root /bin/sort

Logged In: YES
user_id=3247

I do not know, why the sort command fails,
could be a temp file or memory problem.
Since NNTP does not require sorted output, I removed
the pipe to sort completely in the stable branch
"release-1-0" as it was removed in the unstable branch
some time ago.
Can you test the newest version in "release-1-0" and tell
me what happens? (I can send you a tar-ball by email,
if you are not familiar with CVS).
