Hello rs,

Also from me, the old Team Leader of the Node Development Team,
welcome to the marvellous world of Node - an open source IRC client
which offers an easy-to-use interface, and still contains all the
features you'd wish for - at least that was the idea which hasn't been
yet totally completed. As you state, you're willing to continue the
development of the project, and we will surely be happy to give it to
you, as we're looking for a new team to take it over. However, as
Christian already said, we require that you keep the old name, "Node",
and that the license stays GNU GPL.

If you still wish to proceed, as I shall assume, feel free to download
the source code of the latest, incomplete version, from our CVS. If
you don't know how to CVS Checkout anonymously, let us know, and we
will provide step-by-step instructions on how to do this. As soon as
you download the source code, please read carefully through it with
your team - I know this is a hard and time-consuming process, but it
is necessary - and ask us any questions regarding it, if there are
any. As you will notice when you study the source code, the main
programming languages are Visual Basic 6 first, and next HTML and
JavaScript.

When you complete studying the code, please contact us so that we can
add you as team members to begin with, then give you CVS access, and
gradually - if we see we can trust you (sorry, this is a necessary
phase for transferring a project; I hope you can understand this) - we
will be happy to hand over project leadership.

Also, please subscribe to our mailing lists, and especially
node-devel. For information on how to subscribe to a SF.net mailing
list, feel free to contact us. If you decide to take over Node, we
would suggest that you used the node-devel mailing list for
development-related announcements, and the node-users mailing list for
new releases announcements (make sure you keep the latter VERY low
traffic).
