Another thing I would LOVE to see and haven't seen
implemented to a leve I feel good about in many clients
save IceChat and such.. is somewhere like in an Options
subheading have a real good comprehensive set of
abilities to protect against flooders, cloak yourself
from /ctcp's, be able to ignore users based on specific
addresses as well as masks, and some combination of
the above with respect to dcc etc.
I would love LOVE to see something like this as part of
an IRC client.. kinda give the client user a set of
tools/weapons of which to defend and respond with and
keep them on and connected. ;)

Hello,
This is canned response used by Node Developement Team.
Thank you for submitting a Feature Request. Feature Requests are
very important as they help us keep track of what users want to
see implemented in Node.
We always try to listen to our customers, but even if we can not
implement your request in the next version of Node, we will try to
apply it as soon as possible(maybe in the version after the
upcoming one), as users are our most valuable resource and we
always like to keep you satisfied with our work :)
Somebody from the Team has reviewed your request and will reply
to this thread soon.

devknight,
Thanks for your feature request. I don't think it will be very
hard to add protection support. We will work on it and let you
know about any progress we make :)

Hello DevKnight,
I have added some security features for CTCPs in the under
developement version of Node, that will be included in the
next release, 0.32. These include enabling/disabling CTCP
replies, ignoring CTCP requests from people in your ignore list,
CTCP flood protection (with CTCP bouncing support). If you
wish, you can download and compile the current CVS version
and let me know what you think using this forum :-)
