I am somewhat confused. The version numbers on the website seam to be
different (all newer) than the version numbers in the script. For
instance textcounter says on the website to have version 1.18. But if
you download the file behind the link you get an archive with text a
counter.pl version 1.16. rand-text includes version 1.10 in the
archive but announces version 1.12 on the website.

Why is this so?

PS: Someone can update the statement about Debian on the
website. Debian woody was released in July with most of the nms
scripts included. Newer versions are in the unstable distribution.
