I noticed this when I was looking at that other thing in textcounter but
the same thing goes for imagecounter as well - I really don't think that
we should be opening the counter file for reading, locking it, reading the
value, closing it, incrementing the value,opening it for
writing,locking,truncating and writing the new value back.  This really
isn't going to scale to well IMO :)  I have fixed textcounter.pl to do
what it should - that is open RW, lock exclusive, read, increment,
truncate, seek, write, close.  I haven't done so with imagecounter because
unless I am going completely crackers most of the program is missing, so
whoever gets round to remedying that can fix the locking on the counter
file :)
