This is very much of a quick hack and there is a  considerable amount of
refactoring required on wwwboard.pl as there is so much repeated code in
there I reckon I could reduce the size of the file by a third - I am
beginning to think that a separate package and perhaps some OO stuff might
help ;-}

I haven't tested that this revision works - just that it compiles BTW so
please don't do anything silly with it before better testing :)
