The element type is added to the SpinContainer in the load_spins() function.

The identifier is now bracketed by '^' and '$' in wildcard_match().

Renamed 'string' to 'id' in the Selection.wildcard_match() method.

'*' shouldn't be replaced by '+', it should be replaced by '.*'!
