Merged the fixes to the relaxation curve-fitting C modules from the 'c_modules' branch to the main
development line '1.2'. Revisions r2386:2390 of 'c_modules' were merged.

A fix for the -fPIC compilation bug (#5473). Some problems remain.

A few modifications to try to eliminate the segfault.

Creating a private branch to play with the C modules.

Changed the function order to be alphabetical.

Added elimination of Monte Carlo simulations to the sample scripts.

Updated the manual to replace the references to 'make' with 'sconstruct'. The installation and
development chapters have also being extended and a temporary installation path in the 'sconstruct'
script has been removed.

Bug fix:

In certain situations, the angle folding function which is called after model-free minimisation uses
the wrong run name. Now the function takes the run name as an argument to prevent the error.
