I would like to run nmon on OS X. How would I do this?

nmon for Linux gets most of its performance data from the Linux text based /proc filesystems including CPU, memory, disks and processes.
OS X does not have a /proc so it would mean a large code rewrite and then testing & checking to make sure the data reported is correct.
This would all be possible except I don't have a access to a OS X machine.
Any volunteers? For an experienced C programmer it is likely to take 2 to 3 weeks plus other interested OS X users to test various configurations and workloads.

    Cheers, Nigel Griffiths

I am on a Mac, but I'm not an experienced C programmer. I would be willing to test, but I can't recode stuff like that :)
