Definitely in the 'newbie' category! Why aren't nmon network data rates available as bps? Is it because Linux /proc network stats are in Bps. For me, bps would be much more useful, trying to determine server NIC bandwidth issues, etc. - a NIC physical connection is usually quoted as 10/100/1000/10000 Mbps.
I'm usually analysing with something like nmon Visualizer graphs, so just 'multiply by 8' is not really an answer!
