Ok, this is gonna be a motherfucker of a merge;
I've shuffled around a few things to different files, too... although I
managed to keep most of my changes in a couple of seperate files,
njbfs_cache.c and njbfs_dir.c

I'm gonna check in to the main branch (I did this work seperate from my
other work), so let me know how the merge goes.
