So in addition to the news over in the NOIR project about the latest release, NOIR is currently being used in a 3d game engine to load models of different formats. It is flexible and has proven to be sufficently fast even in C#.

Now there's a java version of the vb library, I'm going to recode the whole base and redesign it so that it will be expandable and use features from REGEX for both vb and java.

That way, i can figure out information about both lagnuages. However, i figure that it's probably going to be hard to write a good converter because both syntaxes or so crazy. one has Interfaces (Who needs those!!!) and the other one as crappy syntax in general..... read more

anwyays... i've been working on the vbporter a little again, to add gui support ;) can't live without gui support eh .. ;) haha
well i have it setup, i don't know if it works or not.. so gnite, but it'll be uploaded sometimes maybe this week or the next probably

I also got a linux box now :) so expect more cross- platform type lagnauges

i also am starting a vb to c++ once i learn some c++ ;)

Please download the newest version, not only does it have REcursive method parsing, which means it should now be able to parse any line of code theoertically to some extent, as long as you add the methods to the program and to the vb.txt file.

YEs there is quote support, yet limited to one string. you can't combine multiple strings, even thoguh i don't know why anyone would want to write code like that, much better to put it into a variable. I also fixed a slight problem i noticed while using it this weekend. Well gnite... I'll do more stuff at the end of next week. ( winter break) contact me on aim: apemanaoogabaloo.

121102 - I've uploaded my very simple software, but the basic foundation has simply been laid with a modified version of NOIR. this is all under LGPL license. There is a binary and src for download, have fun.

If you have time.. please join this simple project, that will make those confusing and convuluted projects made easy.

NINu is approved. Stands for NOIR is not useless as my friend claims it is. Anywayz... i've already started on a VB to java converter, and i would upload something either tonite or tommorow that will be able to port lines of code, line by line hopefully.
