Using the 64 bit libraries from the 2.8.3 Physx SDK, a 64 bit version of PhysLib.lib, and edited headerfiles PhysXErrorStream.h, DebugRenderer.h, and PhysicsState.h from Novodex, it is possible to compile a working 64 bit version of the plugin.
