According to the docs:
"Another option would be that you create an RPM from the source tree:
python setup.py bdist_rpm
which will create a binary RPM in the dist subdirectory of the source tree."
but when I try this ...
hard linking nicotine -> nicotine-1.2.7
tar -cf dist/nicotine-1.2.7.tar nicotine-1.2.7
gzip -f9 dist/nicotine-1.2.7.tar
removing 'nicotine-1.2.7' (and everything under it)
copying dist/nicotine-1.2.7.tar.gz -> build/bdist.linux-i686/rpm/SOURCES
copying img/nicotine.png -> build/bdist.linux-i686/rpm/SOURCES
rpmbuild -ba --define _topdir /mnt/disk2/pub/Linux/nicotine+-1.2.7/build/bdist.linux-i686/rpm --clean build/bdist.linux-i686/rpm/SPECS/nicotine.spec
error: Unknown icon type: nicotine.png
error: command 'rpmbuild' failed with exit status 1
