Hey there Jim, >hey Phil, I was wondering if there is a place to post applications, like a public ftp of >some kind? There isn't anything that I know of. However if you want, just email them to me, and I will have a look at them, and put them up onto NICOLE's ftp site if you wish. >I made that chat conversion program, and I am working on a fiew others, like a Telnet >Interface to NICOLE, that will actually talk voic through the sound card, and also voice >detection. Sounds interesting.. >They only downside of everything is that I am developing in VB for windows. But I consider >NICOLE to be a very robust Server side application. I actually am also writing a server >side TCP wrapper for NICOLE, so that it can sit on its own port. So, you shouldnt have to >worry about building in server code, this way people can install as stand alone, or server >side. Now, my voice client will talk with the NICOLE server via voice recognition, and >NICOLE will actually talk back to me in any voice that I select(male, female etc etc). This >is all controlled by the client. Thats the nice thing about microsoft agents, and >microsoft voice control, plus they are both free, which is strange of Microsoft eh?! Looks like you have been rather busy with yourself. The application of yours sounds very promising. Perhaps this is exactly what NICOLE needs to boost its popularity somewhat. A Windows interface. :) This is great news!! Looking forward to seeing your work.. Cheers, Phil. |
