session.CreateCriteria(typeof(MaterialUnit),"mu")
   .CreateAlias("mu.Material", "ma")
   .Add(Expression.Property.ForName("ma.class").Eq(typeof(MaterialUnitable)))
   .List();

The problem is in CriteriaQueryTranslator.GetTypedValue because the method use the DiscriminatorSQLValue istead DicriminatorValue.
