NGspice version: ngspice-24
Operating System: Windows 7

Hi,
I just installed ngspice on my computer following the instructions in the manual. More in detail, I installed MinGW, then I installed Bison and Flex with
Mingw-get install msys-flex msys-bison msys-libiconv msys-libintl
Then I installed ngspice with
./compile_min.sh
When ngspice.exe was launched, it couldn’t find a file under c:/mings/bin, so I had to add this path in the environmental variables in windows.
Now, when I write
ngspice -b file.cir
in the console, I get the following error
ngspice: no such command available in ngspice

Have you got any idea of the reason? maybe something wrong with the installation?

Thank you very much in advance

ngspice is already running, and you see the ngspice window?

Then it does not make any sense to type again 'ngspice', and you will get the error message as shown.

You have to add the location, where ngspice is sitting (e.g. C:\spice\bin) to your path variable.
If you want to start ngspice in batch mode with the command
    ngspice -b file.cir
you have to open a console window first. This may either be the msys console window, when you have installed msys with mingw, or you may choose the windows command prompt, then cd into the directory where file.cir is sitting, and lauch ngspice with the command line cited above (batch mode option).
