I used the Eclipse+Plugin v3,3 for many years. Can't seem to get the run.bat to work in Win10. Error is:
    Unrecognized option: --add-modules=ALL-MODULE-PATH
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Was told I need Java 11 but in Windows the latest is Java 8 update 301. Any suggestions on a tweak are appreciated.

    Hi Douglas

Thanks for sharing your question through the forum. You can download java 11 for windows from the oracle web site: https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/javase/jdk11-archive-downloads.html

Let me know if you still have issues running NGSEP after updating the JVM.

Thanks much. I did not appreciate that by Java 11 you meant the Java SE SDK 11. That has worked and the GUI is now running.

    Hi Douglas

I am not sure if you still have this issue. In the current version of NGSEP 4, once you right click the directory and select "Variant files Merge" you should see a file dialog in which you can select the VCF files that you wish to merge. Please let me know if you can see the dialog. We are currently checking different options to facilitate this and other functions where large numbers of files need to be processed.
