nget and SSL (stunnel)

  • is there a way to connect to an encrypted feed that uses SSL-encryption? i had stunnel in mind, but never used it before and don't know if i did something wrong in my configuration.

    but i think, that the authentification against the nntp-server has to be done during the stunnel-session-initiation which (i think) is not possible.

    • forget it - it now works:

      ------------------ /etc/stunnel/stunnel.conf ------------------
      cert = /etc/webmin/miniserv.pem
      sslVersion = SSLv3
      chroot = /var/lib/stunnel4/
      setuid = stunnel4
      setgid = stunnel4
      pid = /
      socket = l:TCP_NODELAY=1
      socket = r:TCP_NODELAY=1
      debug = 7
      output = /var/log/stunnel4/stunnel.log
      client = yes
      accept = 119
      connect =
      ------------------ /etc/stunnel/stunnel.conf ------------------

      thx for this great software!!!!

    Would someone be able to add this functionality into nget?
