I cannot implement this feature - my goal is to make a very simple software that can run almost everywhere. I don't think that this is an necessary feature - plus it will need GD to run - so the requirements for Nexty will go up. I don't want that.

I think a better idea is creating a plugin interface for Nexty - this can be created as a Plugin. I think this feature goes into the Maybe/Someday group.

Or a question of adding a enable_gd_features in the config file. No need to do a whole plugin framework. The framework itself would likely be more lines of code than Nexty :)
