#1 Log entries not always appended to end of list

After extensive use, new log entries begin to be placed
ahead of the previous one instead of after. The log
would be like the following example:

entry 1

.
.
entry 432
<-- the next log entry would go here
entry 445
entry 444
entry 443
.
.
.
entry 433
