However, as a minor issue: It crashes when trying to delete the main notebook using the delete key (the context menu entry is disabled, but the shortcut is recognized).
Where does it save the database by default? I'll try to encrypt it with encfs and sync it via Dropbox; I do not trust Evernote's security, therefore I am very grateful for this tool.
(I realize I might run into problems when not closing the notebook before using it on another computer).

On Windows, it is stored in your C:\Users\<userid>.nixnote directroy. The database itself is under db-1 (or db-2, db-3 ... if you have multiple accounts).</userid>
You probably want the entire .nixnote directory to keep your settings in sync.
