NetZup 1.0.0.9 Initial Public Release

NetZup is a GUI-based workstation management assistant for Windows 2000 and XP clients, originally developed using VB.NET 2005 as an alternative to commercial enterprise workstation management tools (such as SMS, Tivoli, etc).

Since NetZup relies primarily on native WMI and remote registry calls, it requires no additional client workstation software.

Initial release includes support for:

Remote software distribution
+ directory and command to execute sent to remote hosts
+ asynchronous remote process progress indication via WMI events and polling
+ bandwidth saver: optional directory compression (self-extracting CAB) before data transfer begins

AdHoc software inventories of selected hosts
+ results can be filtered and exported via copy

AdHoc WMI queries with namespace browser (most classes fully supported)
+ pull serial numbers via BIOS, search for running services
+ results can be filtered

Display last known user and current logged on user(s)
+ resolution for AD user sAMAccount->CN (NT logon name to user's full name)

Initial node list population by Active Directory OUs, subnets, or a manual list
+ filtering by subnet, online status, or DNS name resolution
+ list of nodes preserved across execution instances
+ node list searchable and individual columns exportable via copy

Contextual menu integration for easy UNC share browsing and pulling msinfo32 status
