Hello all, i hope you're doing well,
so i have a problem when i want to lunch nettoplcsim with user right, i have a msg that said "enable to find the runtime version the run this application".
So :
- System windows xp pro service pack 3
- Siemens Step 7 v5.4
- plcsim version 5.4 sp 5.
- I tried with both nettoplcsim version the latest one 1.2.5.0 and 0.9.5, i get the same error.
Any help guys ?

On Windows Xp you must install the .Net framework version 4 manually. I hope you can get the version from microsoft.

But one question the version 4 can not effect any of the application that i run?

Hey again, i instaled the version 4 but i still have to same error.
what if i try a version 4.5??

The 1.2.5 was configured for .Net framework runtime 4, as I understand it should work with all 4.x versions of the .Net framework. In my opinion you can also use the latest 4.x version you can find for Windows XP. I've tested Nettoplcsim only under Windows 7 and 10.

Thank you Thomas for this favorable help, I installed v4 .Net, and nettoplcsim v0.9.5 worked like a charm and that's all I wanted.
NB: I still have the same error in the v1.2.5.0.

The v0.9.5 used .Net framework 2. If this version works for you, it's ok. The current version supports a lot of other functions of the S7 protocol, and is much faster communicating.
I'll try to find a Win XP installation, I'm curious why it's not working there.

  Nettoplcsim is only for Siemens S7 plcs, which comes with a plc simulator (PLCSIM), and this program is only an addon for PLCSIM. You can't use it without Siemens software.

    Para cualquier modelo de como el 1200 o 1500? ya que lo he intentado con el 1200 pero no me sale la opción de "S7 TCP Driver Settings" cuando intento con ese plc.

      The "S7 TCP Driver" is as far as I know a Movicon Driver, which can be installed from the Movicon installation media.

  Does not work with Logo Plcs. It's only for S7-300/400 oder S7-1200/1500 controllers, with Step 7 / TIA-Portal as engineering software,
