HEX Engine

After much research on the subject of a hex game engine, a coworker (thanks General), who is a wargamer, showed to me a Delphi component that allows you to create hex maps for windows applications. Best of all, this component is free and has complete source code! While we are still evaluating whether to use it, it does make our production schedule seem to move faster!

New Developer and others

I would like to welcome Donald Perry to the Net Tech team. His programming a Battletech experience will be an invaluable resoure for the project! Welcome aboard Donald!

In other news, coding has begun on a class to import mech stats from the popular text file format found on the internet. The files we're going to use for models can be found at http://www.mercs3055.com/~atticus/trbay.html . This will become a great resource for our efforts as well.

Here We Go!

I'd like to welcome those of you who have found me. For a long time, I've felt there to be a great gapping hole in the world of battletech. This hole prevented players from harnessing the power of the internet to aid them in game play. I hope to remedy that, by offering an online version of one of the richest games to be authored.
