#2 Traffic counters get confused when interface vanishes

Hello,

I use Net Statistics (2.0.2.40) to count my traffic over an UMTS cellphone internet connection. The service program of the cellphone software provides its own interface when the internet connection is up. I marked this interface within Net Statistics, and Net Statistics bravely counts the traffic. Problems arise when I shut down the connection for a while: When I take down the internet connection, the interface will be removed by the cellphone software, and when I reconnect later, the interface will be set up again.

When the interface was absent inbetween and re-appears later, Net Statistics loses its counted incoming and outgoing traffic values. Instead, it restarts counting at some arbitrary, *negative* counter values.

In addition, the GUI reports an access vioalation when the Net Options - Interfaces Tab is being displayed and the mentioned interface entry vanishes.
