netsar intercepts and records the system calls associated with network activity which are called by a process . The contents of the network system calls are then summarized to create network historigrams per file descriptor to stdout in text summary, sar(1) style summary, or CVS formats.

netsar is a useful diagnostic and debugging tool. System administrators, diagnosticians and
trouble-shooters will find it invaluable for solving network problems.
