#32 libgd.so ?

Hi all,

I am trying to install the trends.cgi and the
other .cgis that require libgd to function.

I went to boutell.com and downloaded version 1.8.4
(stable). After downloading it, I did a make all and
make install. Everything installed with no errors.

I then try to configure netsaint with ./configure --
with-gd-lib=/usr/local/lib --with-gd-
inc=/usr/local/include

netsaint gives me:

***GD Library could not be located ... ***********

I have read the other posts relating to this problem,
and it seems that I need a libgd.so. I looked at the
makefile for gd-1.8.4, and I don't see where it even
creates a libgd.so file.

Any help on where or how I can get this file is
appreciated.
