Marc A. Pelletier wants to merge 1 commit from /u/coren/nethack/ to NetHack-3.6.0, 2016-04-23

Adds support for 16-bit Unicode codepoints to be specified as symbols, and a "UTF8" handling type to render them as UTF-8 to win/tty (compatible with, at least, the Linux console and most X consoles including xterm).

Includes a default 'unicode' symset that exercises the feature and uses glyphs from numerous symbol blocks.

Add UTF8 symbol set handling type

Allows the specification of Unicode codepoints for symbols and
outputs them in UTF-8 for modern terminals (such as the Linux
console, or xterms) with the 'UTF8' handling type.

The default unicode symset provided picks plausible codepoints
from several blocks, and requires a well-rounded font to be useful.
The font "DejaVu Sans Mono" is known to work with it.
